Future Founders Announces 2020 Fellows

Future Founders is a non-profit organization that has the confidence that all youth can be entrepreneurs. They just recently announced the 20 entrepreneurs selected to participate in the 2020 Fellowship program. NDSU’s Dieumerci Christel was one of the 20 fellows selected.

This is the sixth year of Future Founders and consists of a year-long program that elevates and accelerates the nation’s top young entrepreneurs and their businesses. By helping the entrepreneurs and their startups, it provides a great foundation for success. There are multiple benefits from being in the program: mentors, peer community, skill development, entrepreneurship retreats, and volunteer opportunities. Acceptance into the program contains a highly competitive nationwide application and interview process.

NDSU’s Dieumerci Christel Chosen as One of 20 Fellows

Dieumerci Christel is one of the 20 entrepreneurs selected for his work with Enlight. Enlight is anĀ app that helps teachers become experts on their students. Christel says, “I am really grateful for this opportunity, especially being from a place like North Dakota and being able to be recognized on a nationwide stage.” Christel has been working hard on his startup and is proud of his accomplishments but dedicates a lot of his success to “the community of Fargo-Moorhead and their support.”

I am really grateful for this opportunity, especially being from a place like North Dakota and being able to be recognized on a nationwide stage.

Being selected for a highly competitive program can be really difficult but Christel tries to “think differently than others and try to see things that other people might be missing” to help him stand out. Christel has been selected for other competitive programs like Wefunder Workaway and NPR’s How I Built This Summit.

Christel explains, “I like Future Founders because they are more focused on building leaders and that the entrepreneur as an individual comes first.” Christel is excited to meet the other entrepreneurs at the cohort and see how they all change and evolve throughout the program.
