Introducing the Fargo Civic Innovation Force
Entrepreneurs can change communities. That's why the City of Fargo and The Nice Center are partnering to create the first-ever Civic Innovation Force.
Introducing the Civic Innovation Force
The Civic Innovation Force challenges students to tackle real issues facing the city. With mentorship and guidance from professors, city employees, and community leaders, selected student leaders will find solutions to make Fargo a more dynamic community. They are rewarded with a paid internship through the summer and scholarship in the fall.
How It Works
The Civic Innovation Force kicks off on Leap Day, February 29th at 9 a.m. with an ideation workshop at the Memorial Union.
Students of all backgrounds are welcomed to a morning of vision-mapping. City leaders will ask students to pitch their ideas for improving our community in the areas of:
- Landscape Architecture & Architecture
- Arts & Culture
- Climate Change
Individuals and/or teams with the most compelling solutions will be invited to join the City of Fargo’s Civic Innovation Force and work on their proposed solution. Plus, they will receive: a paid summer internship, a fall scholarship program, and a distinguished community role.
We look forward to using innovation to make our community better. Here’s how you can get involved:
