Introducing Kodee Furst – Program Manager at The Nice Center

Furst establishes The Nice Center @ Dickinson, our first virtual office and first location outside of Fargo.

We are proud to announce that Kodee Furst is joining the team at The Nice Center as a Programs Manager. She will help us to promote entrepreneurship for all, especially to those living in Greater North Dakota and to under-supported entrepreneurs across the state.

Meet Kodee Furst

Furst joins us as a passionate supporter of entrepreneurs. She was the co-founder and managing partner at Annie Capital, a venture capital firm that supported and invested in female-led startups. In this role, she founded Women’s Entrepreneurship Week in partnership with The Nice Center and Emerging Prairie, bringing almost 800 women to a week of programming last year that helped them launch their ideas.

Her role at Annie Capital took her across the Dakotas as she provided mentorship, listened to pitches, and invested in promising companies through funding, advocacy and education. She currently serves on the Boards for Emerging Prairie, North Dakota’s LIFT Fund and CTB, home of the North Dakota Women’s Business Center, to help build the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Previously, she led business development and growth activities in multiple industries. She also worked as the national Director of Fraternity Services at Alpha Gamma Delta.

Introducing Our Second Location: The Nice Center @ Dickinson

Furst’s experience in venture capital, the oil and gas industry, and numerous statewide positions has prepared her to open our second location, virtually, as The Nice Center @ Dickinson.

From this location, she will work with the entire state to build bridges across industries, geographies, and communities. One of her first projects will be helping to launch Nice Idea for North Dakota high schools. She will also continue to build Women’s Entrepreneurship Week and help The Nice Center support underrepresented entrepreneurs including, women, New Americans and Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC).

Building the Future of The Nice Center

As the COVID-19 pandemic has forced businesses and universities to improve their virtual offerings, Furst will guide The Nice Center as we pursue the best-in-class virtual education and support for students and entrepreneurs across the state.

Most importantly, Kodee is a new mom who is excited to return to her alma mater of NDSU to help build a dynamic ecosystem in the state she loves.

Give Kodee a virtual welcome and watch for her dynamic work as we continue to promote entrepreneurship for all.
