Crowdfund Your Idea – Start with Our Workshop
This four-part webinar series is open to all and teaches you everything you need to know to crowdfund your next idea.
Many aspiring entrepreneurs express feelings of uncertainty or imposter syndrome, which prevents them from starting. If they do start, there is a lack of capital in North Dakota, and barriers to funding, especially for women. Rural communities also face the challenge of a small market size to support venture creation.
That’s why we’re excited to host a free four-part webinar series all about crowdfunding. Register here.
Crowdfunding offers a potential solution to these barriers:
- Over 96% of successfully funded Kickstarter campaigns follow through with their product launch
- Women are 13% more likely to succeed on crowdfunding platforms than men, in stark contrast to other fields of fundraising
- Crowdfunding is much less geographically concentrated than venture capital, which is great for ND
The Nice Center‘s mission is Entrepreneurship for All. We are excited to see the potential of crowdfunding to inspire and launch new ideas in our region.
In crowdfunding, women are 13% more likely to succeed than men (Mollick 2018).
Meet Host Clay Hebert
We knew that if we wanted to launch as many ideas as possible, we would need to bring in the best. That’s why we are thrilled to welcome Clay Hebert who will host the webinar series.
Clay Hebert is a marketing strategist and the founder of Crowdfunding Hacks, where he helps entrepreneurs and creatives fund their dreams. As one of the world’s leading crowdfunding experts, he has helped over 150 entrepreneurs raise over $50 million on popular crowdfunding platforms Kickstarter and Indiegogo. Most importantly, he was an attendee at the Misfit Con in Fargo seven years ago, so he knows how big ideas can shape a community.
Here’s Clay sharing a bit more about why you should attend:
After you’ve registered for the webinar, we want to help you take action. That’s why you will have the first opportunity to sign up for Giving Starts Day.
Giving Starts Day is a single day when we attempt to launch as many crowdfunding campaigns as possible across the community. We then invite the community to GivingStartsDay.com to back their favorite project.
Participants in Giving Starts Day receive support from The Nice Center – including a videography team (first 20 registrants), copy editing and marketing – to help their idea launch. We also work to increase interest in all projects so more local supporters support more startups.
We want you to join us! Click to register for Giving Starts Day.
Let’s Launch Together
We know that there are great ideas in our community. By sharing and developing those ideas, we can create the community we want to be a part of.
